BASIC RULES
Details of fisheries are given in your
handbook. Read the notes on each fishery before
you visit it and pay the greatest attention to
parking instructions and boundaries.
Infringements of either lead to trouble with
the owners.
Litter: No nylon line, plastic bags or
litter of any kind is to be left on any
fishery. The place for this is in your tackle
bag and should be disposed of when you arrive
back home. This is to protect the farmer and
the fishery.
Glassware: No glassware is allowed other
than a Thermos Flask, or a medicine bottle
containing medicine. This is for the protection
of cattle and human beings and applies to all
the fisheries. There are several excellent
plastic containers on the market, which are
ideal for the purpose of carrying liquids. Do
not take meat tins to our fisheries.
Radios: No radios are permitted on the
fisheries without an earpiece, this is for the
peace and comfort of other anglers.
Handbook: Your handbook should always be
studied before you visit water. Persons not in
possession of a permit will be treated as
trespassers.
Night Fishing: Night fishing is
prohibited an all Association Fisheries,
Hemmingford Grey Lake, Brampton Lake, Littleport and The River
Wissey permits for which are only available to
those purchasing other membership tickets
(excluding companion ticket). Junior members
must be accompanied and fish within the
vicinity of an adult.
Dogs: No dogs are allowed on our
fisheries where the public has no right of
access. The Association reserves the right to close any of its fisheries without notice if, in the opinion of the Fisheries Committee, it is expedient to do so.
Rods: You are permitted to use two rods,
line and two hooks at a time (unless a Third Rod Ticket has been purchased). Spare rods must
be packed. This is for the protection of the
fish. No live-bait is to be brought to the
fisheries from any other source.
Rod Licences: The Associate Membership
permit does not excuse you from this duty. All
members fishing our waters should have a
fishing rod licence (or licences as the case maybe)
Close Season: No fishing is allowed on
Association fisheries between 15th March and
15th June inclusive, except where otherwise
stated.
General: Our fisheries are precious to us and we have
spent a great deal of voluntary labour in
keeping them pleasant places in which to spend
our leisure time. Please regard them in the
same way. We want you to enjoy your fishing and
hope that when you get to know us better you
will wish to take full membership with some
Society.
Should you wish to do this, regular members
will assist with advise or you can write to us,
we will try to help you.
Matters which may give rise to an insurance
claim must be reported to the Office (020 8520 7477)
immediately. Failure to do so could
render the membership ticket holders liable for
any costs, which may be incurred. NO FISH TO BE TAKEN AWAY.
Please Note:
The use of Bloodworm or Joker
is not allowed on any of our waters except for:
From 1st October a maximum of 1 kilo of
bloodworm or joker shall be
allowed on the Grand Union Canal at Denham Deep
Lock, West Drayton to Trout Bridge Lock.
