RIVER CAM - SWAFFHAM PRIOR.

Clubs may book this water on the rota system. On the dates booked the water will be closed to individual members and may only be used by members of the club to which it is allocated.
Any member may use the water on the dates on which it is not booked. At present the only dates booked are as follows:

Eel grass weed can be a problem in the summer but at this time of year the fish can quite often be caught above the weed. Hemp and tares a very good method of doing this and therefore the venue is predominantly roach fishing venue normally slow with good depth in the margins they can produce good bags in winter or summer. At times big bags of bream are found other fish include chub, perch, zander, and pike.
ROUTE

From London
on the M11 or A10 then on Newmarket Road A45, and in three miles turn left
onto the A1102 Pen Ditton proceed to the village of Swaffham Prior and
turn left into road signposted Upware. Carry on for about 2 miles when the
road takes a sharp right-hand bend, immediately after the bend a broad
track will be seen on the left-hand side and a notice board ‘‘Lords
Ground Farm, Swaffham Prior’‘. Follow this track to the farm houses
signs erected
Vehicles can be taken along track and park as directed near farm houses, or as otherwise directed by owners. No vehicles to park beyond the farmhouses or to proceed to flood bank.
Vehicles must not cause obstruction to working vehicles or residents.

above the age of 5 years may join. Children below that age may be
taken,
but may not fish and must be controlled completely by their
parents.
Children below the age of 11 years MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN
ADULT
and the application form must be countersigned by a
parent/guardian.
