RIVER STOUR. GLEMSFORD FISHERY NO 3.
LAA Key's are no longer required, Combination Lock's will now be on some of our Fisheries
All locks used on our Fisheries are being replaced over the next few weeks. Entry to any locked fishery will soon be by Combination Lock ONLY, the number required for entry will be printed on your New Membership Card for 2009 Season. The locks can be opened by entering the Combination number and then pressing the button on the bottom of the padlock. IMPORTANT - On leaving the fishery ensure that the lock is closed and the number is scrambled to prevent access by non-members.
	ROTA WATER SUNDAYS - Clubs may book this water on the rota system. On the dates booked the water will be closed to individual members and may only be used by members of the club to which it is allocated. Any member may use the water on the dates on which it is not booked. At present the only dates booked are as follows: NONE
	PLEASE CHECK WATER BOOKINGS PAGE in case of further dates that have been booked and therefore open to individual members to fish.
These pits open March 15^th to June 16^th for fishing. No fishing on the river during this period.
The river is narrow and shallow at this point, plenty of chub and dace in the shallow runs that can be fished from both banks. Principally a roach and dace water also found are perch, chub and tench.
The smallest of the lakes this has tree lined banks, very deep in places, known for it's big tench, also contains roach, bream and pike.
ROUTE - From London take M11 to Junction 8 then A120 to Braintree and the A131 through Braintree to Sudbury. Then B1064 towards Bury St Edmunds. At the far end of Long Melford main street turn left onto A1092 for two miles towards Cavendish. On passing Hobbs Lane, the entrance to No.1 pit, continue along A1092 for 500 yards just past Cannon Rubber Company factory turn left. Down this road over river to Car Park on the left hand side.
CAR PARK - This is between No 2 and No 3 lakes, exit the car park turn left over the bridge and entrance to No 3 is on the left over the stile.

Anyone above the age of 5 years may join. Children below that age may be taken, but may not fish and must be controlled completely by their parents. Children below the age of 11 years MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT and the application form must be countersigned by a parent/guardian.
