RIVER LEA - KINGS WEIR.

This is a back-stream leaving the canal over a weir it runs fast and has gravel runs. This  is our best barbel water on the lea. A river that was renowned for the species although in recent years their numbers have declined this is still a pleasant fishery and the barbel are still frequently caught. The chub are also predominant along with roach, dace, and perch. Included is the far side of the canal from the lock to the fence at the downstream end . This venue has a long walk from our official car parking.
