This part of the river winds down
towards Bures Lake on the opposite bank the venue includes the fishing on
the Mill Pool. Contains mainly roach with chub, bream, dace, gudgeon. This is one of the sites being used by the Environment Agency to re-introduce barbel to the river. About four batches of stock fish have been introduced over a two year period and fish are now beginning to show in anglers catches. Large Zander have also shown recently and several fish over 8 lb have been captured. |

ROUTE - From London
take M11 to junction 8 then A120 to Braintree and A131 through Braintree
to Sudbury as approaching Sudbury take the Middleton Road. This is
sign-posted Middleton and Henny follow this to Bures turning right
onto Colchester Road. Alternatively from A12 to junction with A1124
(Colchester and West Halstead) follow this towards
Halstead through Eight
Ash Green to Chappel, pass under the viaduct, take the first right to
Mount Bures over level crossing to the T-junction B1508 (Colchester
Road). Immediately opposite the T-junction will be Brook Farm House enter the track and proceed to the end. |

| PARKING - Limited space available in the field, please park against the hedge and do not obstruct the lane and gates, alternative parking at Brook Farm House, please park sensibly as this is private property and we do not want to misuse the privilege. |

No members are permitted to wade out to fish the gravel island in the mill pool, which is private, or to take away any fish, all must be returned |

Proceed down Mill Lane from Colchester Road, pass Brook Lodge to the field at the bottom. |
BOUNDARY -
From the Mill Pool down to the fence at the boundary Staunch Farm. |
