These are wonderful stretches of the Great Ouse, producing excellent bags of fish from waters as varied in character as an angler could wish for. Roxton ‘D’ this starts at Tempsford Bridge and several good swims are as always at the bridge producing mostly chub but some bream. As we move up the river breaks up a bit with several islands and some faster runs for roach and dace. It then widens into a pool and this part has produced very big bream. Then as we walk around and onto the top end the fishery changes to a fairly fast run off from the weir. Good roach and chub bags from here but bream can also be found at times. Then the weir pool itself these always contain fish of all species and we have reports of big barbel being seen in this area but we have not had any captures reported as yet.
Expect plenty of roach and bream with a good sample of chub also perch, dace, pike, tench and carp.
