Expect plenty of roach and bream with a good sample of chub also perch, dace, pike, tench and carp.
These are wonderful stretches of the Great Ouse, producing excellent bags of fish from waters as varied in character as an angler could wish for. Barford Bridge Meadow is opposite our Roxton ‘A’ fishery very similar but without the trees overhanging . Again the bridge swims at the start are worth a try for chub in particular. Also the bream holding spot can be fished from the same point opposite the large oak tree and fence. But with good chub often caught close in when the river runs and good bags of roach this is a very good fishery. ROUTE -
From London take the A1/A1M to Biggleswade and Tempsford. Before reaching Tempsford turn left at sign post to Blunham. Cross two humped back bridges over the (River Ivel and backwater) then on past the Blunham fishery to Barford Bridge.
PARKING -
On approaching Barford Bridge turn left at traffic lights, park in lay-by opposite Barford Bridge.
ENTRANCE -
Opposite the lay-by can be seen a gate with a style alongside cross this and walk to the river.
BOUNDARY -

N.B. -
At the commencement of the season and until the grass is cut, members must keep strictly to the edge of the meadow and frontage to the river and on no account walk over the grass, as it is required for hay.
